Chippy Door provides hope, support and job training for women in recovery who are overcoming significant barriers in life. We offer an employment opportunity that is a safe place to obtain practical work experience, while giving back to the community.
Chippy Door partners with local social services agencies and nonprofits that have programs in place to take families from homelessness and poverty to self-sufficiency, inspiring them to maintain a standard of living they can be proud of and thrive in. Our interns will design and install complete home interiors for families who desperately need an environment that will support health and wellness at no cost to them.
In turn, these families become stable and create home lives they are proud of. Toxic stress levels are reduced significantly. Children's lives are deeply impacted and they can now have a safe place to lay their head at night. If we can change a person’s surroundings, we can change their outlook on life. Exposing children (especially) to a nurturing home environment, that includes good design and art, can inspire a standard of living that will carry-over to future generations. Exposing parents to this same environment will allow them to see the positive impact it has on their family; inspiring them to maintain a standard of living they can be proud of and thrive in.
